Chinese Government, university and provincial scholarships are different funding routes. Eligibility, application channels and benefits depend on the specific scheme and intake.

Check which costs are covered, which remain your responsibility and whether support applies throughout the program. Do not assume that a partial award covers accommodation or living costs.

Compare the practical conditions

Use the current official call to check eligible nationalities, study levels, subjects, language requirements, application deadline and submission route. University admission and scholarship selection may involve separate decisions.

Ask how any allowance is paid and which conditions apply to renewal. Keep a budget for costs not covered and for the period before any confirmed payment.
